GABRIELA’S in NEW YORK



















“Originally established in 1992, Gabriela's was the brainchild of famed restauranteur Artie Cutler and Gabriela Hernandez. After tasting Gabriela's cooking Artie knew that he wanted to have a restaurant that featured these kinds of authentic flavors and dishes in a time when tex-mex was king. Gabriela brought up her family from Mexico who developed the menu and recipes still in use today. It was an instant upper west side sensation. Gabriela and her family have since retired from the business leaving Artie's nephew to carry on the torch. With the expansion and move to our incredible new location at 93rd and Columbus, and the addition of Chef Fernando Aquino and General Manager Moises Galarza, the traditions of Artie and Gabriela continue as Gabriela's Restaurant and Tequila Bar provides the upper west side with fantastic place to celebrate and enjoy friends and family. Cross through our authentic Mexican Mission style door and enter an upper west side oasis while dinning on what has been called "Some of the best Mexican Food in NYC" (Epoch Times) and a "True Secret of NY!"(Palmer).”
